is too high ,medical and social problems can result.People differ in the type of events they interpret as stressful. For example speaking in public can be stressful for some people but relaxing for others.
Symptoms of Stress -Symptoms of stress can be feeling anxious,scared,moody,fear of failure,worrying about the future,forgetfulness,increasing use of drugs and alcohol,loosing appetite or overeating,sleeping problems,headaches etc.
Causes of Stress- Transfer to a new school or college,changing job,competition,financial problems,family and social problems,time pressure,disappointments etc.
Techniques to reduce Stress-There are a lot of things people can do to cut down on stress.
1.Talk to someone.Report the problem.
2.Notice if any of the muscle in your body are tense.Just noticing that will often relax the muscle.
3.Ask your boss if you are doing O.K.This simple question can make a lot of difference and verifying wrong impressions.
4.Cut down on caffeine and sweets.Take a walk instead.
5.Use basic technique of planning,problem solving and decision making.
6.Monitor the number of hours that you are working.
7.write weekly status reports.Include what you have accomplished last week and plan to do next week.
8.Avoid unnecessary competition.
9.Focus on your good qualities.
10.Eat a balanced diet.
11.Exercise regularly.
12.Do something you can feel good about.
