Do you want Fries with that?
Stripping at McDonald's earns Young Woman 6.1 Million Dollars!

Forced to strip, girl is now a millionare! McDonalds shells out 6.1 million dollars in hoax strip-search case. That's about 3 million BigMac burgers!

Will this start a new trend? Employees who pretend to be forced to strip are generally fired and walked out the door, but now I guess there is money to be had instead!

Check out this link to the story and watch the big smile on the face of this "poor" girl:

Hmmmm

Yes, I read the article and it sounded very suspect to me. I would rather think the young woman very quickly realized that there was money to be had by "going along" with it. Otherwise she would be extremely ignorant of laws, police methods and appropriate punishments for crimes. I can't believe she would be that ignorant. I guess we will never know, unless she sits down to write her memoirs. By the way, I am not some closed minded old guy (well, I am an old guy) who thinks it is OK to brutalize women physically or mentally. I am always vehemently opposed to that. I have two young daughters myself, and I am completely sure that they would never go along with doing what this young woman did on camera (yes, she knew there were cameras there, she worked at the place!) in response to what a so called 'police officer' told her to do over the phone.

Hmmm, did you read the article?

The "hoax" refers not to the woman, but to the caller, who pretended to be a cop. The woman *was* forced not only to strip, but to perform sexual acts. McDonald's was sued because this caller had contacted other stores of theirs with the same M.O,, and they should have done more to let other stores know about it so it wouldn't happen again. Your piece makes it sound like the woman perpetuated a "hoax" by pretending to be strip searched, which is totally the opposite of the article you link to.
