Ever wondered what kind of people come to visit Frankfurt, the financial capital of Germany? The answer: businessmen, always in a hurry, always looking busy, always searching for a hotel brand that is more familiar than avant-garde.
On the other hand, Frankfurt’s first design hotel is well deserving of its name, for purity, with refreshing touches of austerity, is the recurring theme of this new hotel. Designed by the Romanian architect Oana Rosen, The Pure, from behind the 19th century façade of a former textiles factory, boasts spaces that draw on the purist morphology of the 90’s. The ground floor is a multifunctional and interactive space hosting the lobby, the breakfast area, the bar and the lounge. Everything is in white, the finishing and the furniture create a feeling of cool, while the Thasos marble proves its worth through the beautiful reflections created with imbedded fragments of mirror. The use of white continues in the bedrooms, the only relief, albeit metallic, coming from the gigantic mirrors and hi-tech accessories: LCD screens, communication devices and Media Jukebox, the ultimate multimedia tool. The interiors are customized using only a small number of decorative elements, such as the made to order chandelier, desk lamps by Artemide and armchairs and sofas by MDF.
