Styrofoam Glue: The Right Tool for Gluing Styrofoam
posted January 26, 2009 - 1:38amIt's funny how often there exists a "do it yourself" handy man product or tool that is perfect for the project. In the case of gluing styrofoam, there's no doubt that styrofoam glue is tops. You wouldn't use normal white Elmer's glue to glue wood over an actual wood glue, so why would you use normal Elmer's glue to glue styrofoam instead of some actual styrofoam glue?
Then again, many people didn't even know styrofoam glue exists, and based on the sheer number of people who search for how to glue styrofoam, well it's obvious that a lot of people simply aren't sure. While normal white Elmer's glue can sometimes work for a little bit, it's not designed to bond to the styrofoam the way that actual styrofoam adhesive is, and that's why for a school craft or for a minor handy man project, the styrofoam glue is tops.
