Superrr

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no its Superman! Superman whoozed through the open 38th floor windows with his usual fizz. Dr Evil was nowhere to be seen. But that’s just the reason he had chosen 38th floor. He could see a huge chunk of Manhattan from only this window. Who was that crossing the bay? And was that a flight going awry? Super zoomed down and peered through the window to see all was safe. He rushed to the plane and held on to the left wing till it righted itself. The passengers all applauded and he took a well deserved bow. Now that was another aeroplane saved.

But who would save Super? He was bleeding from the loss of his only love to that dastardly Dumboy. Who was Dumbboy? The neighbourly nerd… who devoured all the books in the local library, who was able to answer all of Claire’s questions in that sickening fashion of his, who did all of Claire’s homework for her. And what was Superman doing then...oh, not much, just playing God! Dammit, dammit. He wished the plane had crashed. As if the World cared if another fell. And as if the World cared if he lost Claire just because he had to fly away in the middle of a long long awaited kiss which he had contrived in such Machiavellian fashion.

So … Klark Cent woke up suddenly… up from his scary dream. He rushed to dress to go to the Library, resolved never to watch any more Super Movies …and to finish that book which Claire so loved…
