Surreal Winds

The photograph was taken using a Nikon D80 10.2 Megapixel Camera 
with
a
Sigma 201306 10-20 f4-5.6 DC EX HSM Nikon Digital Zoom Lens

The photographer also used a Cokin Graduated Grey Neutral Density Filter. In this landscape where the sky makes up such a large portion of the photograph this filter was used to re-balance the luminosity between the ominous dark and bright white, back-lit clouds and the golden fields.
The windmills extending into the distance draw the viewer into the landscape and their captured motion evokes the feeling of the wind as the clouds swirl above.
This is one of those photos that instantly brings the photographer back into the moment and easily transports the viewer into the landscape to share the experience.
