I have been to many Sushi Restaurants in North San Diego County and have had a great time visiting each and every one.

Sushi Taishu in Carlsbad is a nice place with good friendly service but after 7pm, you will wait for a seat at the Sushi Bar.

Mikko's, also in Carlsbad is good as well, although the servings of fish are a bit on the slim side.

Hana Japanese Restaurant in Oceanside gets a vote, great chefs who love to have fun. Owner also own Sushi Taishu in Carlsbad.

Sushi Port in Vista is very comfortable and the sushi is fresh. This owner has really improved the establishment from the previous two. Husband and Wife owned, they are both friendly and outgoing.

My latest find is Love Boat Sushi in Oceanside. Live music (at least on Friday night)open everyday, all day, except Thanksgiving, and great chefs. The atmosphere is very inviting and all patrons, new and old are treated as long time friends. Fish portions are great and oh, so tasty!
