Swine Flu Death Toll at 22 as of May 4

Contrary to earlier misinformed reports that the death toll from the H1N1 "Don't Call It Swine or Mexican" Influenza panic-demic was in the "hundreds", Mexico's Health Minister, Jose Angel Cordova, has confirmed that 22 people are now dead of the swine flu with 568 lab-tested infections. Most of those deaths are from Mexico City, which is notorious for its high pollution.

Compared to the seasonal influenza death toll, these numbers don't even appear on the radar. Not to say that any death isn't tragic, but the overblown media coverage isn't warranted by these numbers. That may be why they discuss hypotheticals and what "could" happen "if" a contrived set of circumstances were to come about.

Pollution and Recovery from Human Pig Flu

Good point and common sense - it's a pity there's not more of them. Fresh air assists recovery from any illness and tends to stop it developing in the first place. The conditions of factory farmed poultry and pigs breed these diseases. +1

Flu deaths

I don't think swine flu will be "the one" but it could return this winter as a superbug as the Spanish Flu once did. I sure hope they have a vaccine by then. Join Xomba and get PAID to write Articles Like The One Above Get Paid To Shorten Addresses
