Swoon,Swoon
posted November 5, 2009 - 7:11amWhile i was doing doing some research on how many woman actually play a role in the underground scene. Wether it was Street art, Underground hip-hop, Underrated indie bands, Public speakers and pretty much any productive woman who isn't setting herself under old society's machista ways in a self-indulging manner. Granted, Like many other fields i found it was mostly male dominated and although a good percent of these males didn't lack in setting the bar fairly high, i did manage to stumble upon a couple of female artist who blew my mind. One of them being this woman that goes by the name of Swoon, She's a street artist that currently resides in New York City. Most of her work is by paper cut outs and wheat pasting that seem to collaborate with the streets to create a time based public artwork. What i tended to absorb more of was the amazing little images that seem to be leading up the big picture that didn't neglect in catching my eye. These murals are far from just being empty images pasted on the walls of New York and many other parts of the world.
