Take a Hike, Literally!

This is definitely a dream vacation for me! These are some destination tips if you're in the mood to walk in the footsteps of some literary heroes such as Tennyson, London, Thoreau and Whitman among notable others.

Hey Idlewild, your screen name is perfect for this xomblurb. I think that hiking or walking in nature gives writers inspiration from the scenery to getting blood to the brain by exercise. Hiking vacations

I really enjoy walking, so I would like some of these... thanks for posting. Walking/hiking let's you see sights at a slower, more up-close pace than in a car or bus, not to mention the added benefit that while you're touring you're burning off some of the calories consumed while being on vacation! I had some great hikes in the Northwest when I was a kid.
