Joe

Yes, but like I said, Joe knew Obama was being filmed when he APPROACHED Obama... it's not like he was standing on a street corner and a film crew came up to him. He CHOSE to go on TV and radio interviews after talking to Obama... he could have easily said no. He had made statements about how he felt Obama's program would increase his taxes... so of course the media is going to look at whether Obama's plans actually would increase his taxes, or those of other potential small biz owners.

Fair Enough

Ok, Fair enough. I shouldn't have accused you of being an angry liberal. There is no worse insult, (in my mind), so I apologize. Really. I just believe that an ordinary, average American has the right to ask a question of a presidential candidate without having the NY Times/MSNBC and other loony nuts question the guy and go over every aspect of his life with a fine tooth comb. He just asked a question is all. He was respectful and everything, which is why I don't understand the hate directed towards him. Today it's the Obama campaign and the main stream media going full throtle against a regular guy in Ohio. Tommorrow it could be you. Just sayin....

Wrong

I'm not "attacking" you at all. My point is that you could easily find out what Michelle Obama actually said, but it seems you would rather believe a mistaken assumption than find out the truth. You said she was never proud of her country. In that quote she clearly says she IS proud. Those are not the same things. You can find quotes from any politician or supporter that sound crazy or dumb. And Michelle Obama isn't running for president in the first place. I don't agree with everything I've heard Cindy McCain say, but it doesn't matter to me because she's not running for office.

Attack

No, he's being attacked for saying he's one thing and being another. No one forced him to approach Obama when he knew he was being filmed. No one forced him to go on those TV shows. And certainly no one forced him to lie about what he did for a living. >> I guess you angry liberals better attack the plumber: it beats trying to defend your fiscal positions. Right? P.S. I'm not angry or a liberal (just thought you should know). I wrote the article about Joe the Plumber because I thought it was an interesting story. And I'll say it again: He's not a plumber.

Michelle Obama's lack of Pride in our country.

Idlewild, no need for personal attacks against me. Let's be respectful, k? Michelle Obama's quote. "People in this country are ready for change and hungry for a different kind of politics and ... for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback."

Regular guy

Joe is a tax cheat who has had a lien on his house for the last two years (just thought you should know). Do you know for a fact that he's "hard working" or just assuming? He lied about being a plumber, and he hasn't paid his taxes... I wouldn't assume that he's working 11 hours a day like he says. And why would McCain want a guy who doesn't pay his taxes as a campaign symbol? >> Then again, Michelle Obama did say she has never been proud of her country. Well, she didn't say that. You can easily find her actual quote anywhere on the Net through a Google search... if you wanted to know, of course.

Regular Joe attacked for dare questioning the Messiah

How DARE he ask the almighty Messiah a question about how the Obama "Spread the wealth around" tax policies would be destructive to regular folks and small businesss people. How DARE he question "The One." I guess you angry liberals better attack the plumber: it beats trying to defend your fiscal positions. Right?

Hate?

The site is a marketing page that gets people to give their email addresses and then sends them spam. I guess you didn't want people to know that? The "poll" is just a gimmick to attract people to sign up; it's not an "important national poll." Joe the Plumber (who is not really a plumber) is a registered Republican, so it's no surprise that he is voting for McCain. In fact, he probably never had any intention of voting for Obama. And the fact that he is related to Charles Keating seems a bit odd, don't you think? Joe the Plumber may not be the best symbol for McCain, now that "Joe" has been shown to be a tax cheat who has a lien on his house. Shouldn't he pay his back taxes before he worries about what his future tax bill might be in the future? (He might also want to get a plumber's license before buying a pluming business.)

Sure. Attack a hard working regular Joe.

Don't understand what the Obama camp has against hard working middle class folks going for the American dream. Then again, Michelle Obama did say she has never been proud of her country. And Barack Obama's pastor blamed the USA for 9/11.

I think you mean Samuel the

I think you mean Samuel the plumber. Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher that is.
