Teaching Children About Ghosts

Parents can help educate their children about ghosts and the paranormal and ease some of the fear they may express through reading books and yes, by visiting an online website called Kids.ghostvillage.com.

has a recommended reading list with books such as, “Who’s Haunting the White House? The President's Mansion and the Ghosts Who Live There.” Written by author, Jeff Belanger, this book investigates the number of ghosts thought to maintain their home in the Executive Mansion in Washington, DC.
Many historic ghosts, such as Abe Lincoln and Andrew Jackson, appear to wander the mansion as if they never left the White House or that place in time. Somehow, ghosts in the White House may seem less scary to a child than a ghost lurking in Aunt Edna’s house. The book, geared for ages 9 and up, is available at Amazon.
