Tell Me Why: Why Do We Have Wax in Our Ears?

Earwax is called cerumen by doctors and it is a normal secretion of the glands in the ear. This wax that coats the outer part of the ear canal traps germs and debris so it doesn’t reach the eardrum and cause an infection.
