I just expressed my severe disappointment in Senators Coburn and Inhofe, who voted yes on Bush's warrantless wiretapping.

Please have a look at this CREDO Action e-activism campaign. On July 9th (my birthday for christsakes!), sixty-nine senators–including Senators Coburn and Inhofe–voted to let Bush gut the Fourth Amendment.

They voted to hand President Bush the power to spy on Americans without warrants, and to immunize the telecoms who allegedly helped him do so in the past.

So why does Mr. Bush–a president-(at the time of writing) with the lowest approval ratings since the advent of polling–have the power to eviscerate the Constitution?

Because Senators Coburn and Inhofe gave it to him. At the signing ceremony in the Rose Garden, President Bush paid "special tribute" (his words) to Democrats like Steny Hoyer, Jay Rockefeller, and Silvestre Reyes for helping to pass the bill.

You can make Bush eat those words when your opinion is made clear by presence at this petition speaking out for our civil liberties.

Additionally, you might also check out: National Archives and Records Administration This has a wealth of information and can also serve as a means to find other resources in a quest for information. For an actual National Archives branch in your state, check: http://www.archives.gov/locations/states.html DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

She has a lot of information from official sources that has been photocopied, although there is so much her volunteer staff has been a little overwhelmed in creating electronic copies. A few years back, I had a little back-and-forth with the IRS and, in my research for other information, I discovered that every area has a library that is an archive of historical documents. Ours here is at California Polytechnic University. Yours might be in Colorado Springs or even up in Denver. Much of the information you would find in the National Archives can be found there. You can also check the National Archives online, although you have to hope that they have electronic documents for everything. (Devvy went to Washington to the National Archives herself, which is the basis for her information.) It's a little depressing at first, once you realize how far removed we are from the Constitutional Republic envisioned by our Founding Fathers. But, it is really important for as many people as possible to have access to the bona fide laws and foundations for our Republic before they can really do battle with the usurpers in Sodom-on-the-Potomac. excellent article I am going to sign up for the news letter. Great points. I know my congressman does not care. I never worked with any of our senators. How do you find the papers, proof, where the fraud was committed. If I commit to this I might be able to make an impact in Colorado. I know I am making an impact on the polls here now.

I work in the political

I work in the political field working directly with the people. I even work personally for one congressman here in Colorado Springs and another of our states legislators in Denver. I tell them to explain the Article 17 to the American people but they won't. It is making me not want to vote for the congressman I work for.
