Tempest Storm
Tempest Storm
The truth washes over me like a crashing wave.
The tempest – has just begun.
I left my heart wide open – a little bit too long.
I gave you one last chance not to run.
I am sitting in the middle of the storm.
But, my vessel upon the water remains calm.
I do not fear the foot steps that tread upon that water.
My eyes stay focused on the only shaft of light.
A glimmer of hope buds forth.
I see the way now, my eyes they are open.
The storm continues raging in brilliant fits of anguish.
As I stand fast against the rocks of dismay.
My faults have been forgiven.
The new pathway lies before me.
I tread upon the water as I’m lifted up on high.
My pain has turned to silence.
My love has turned away.
My heart was slowly breaking.
But, No longer on this day.
A new sun is slowly rising.
The innocent are crying.
My purpose redefined, I comfort them and say
“The Lord is our redeemer. Take heart and be enlightened.
Your sorrows shall be lifted. Your tears shall be dried.”
Take heart my little children,
Your father’s time draws nigh!

Poetry is not my thing but I did like this. Good job!
Thank you wHATUP!!
This is the most difficult time in my life ever, but this poem points deeper than my pains and sufferings.
God has been holding me together and uplifting me.
