Insurance Temporary Health / Medical Cover for Travel, Immigrants, Trip, Non Residents

You might be looking for medical insurance cover on a temporary basis if you are planning to travel or even having arrived in the US as an immigrant.

I’ll tell you right away that finding a reliable medical coverage is not easy and you may need to do lots of comparisons to get the right one.

To tell a good medical insurance company from the rest, you will need to look at their terms and the fine print too. Some insurance companies in the states will offer you a temporary travel medical insurance.

This has coverage for anyone that is travelling outside of their home country for holiday or even work. This medical insurance cover is perfect for short trips of between 5 days to even longer durations of six months or even 3 years.

Some companies will even agree to renewal of your plan even after the six months and the good ones will effect the cover immediately.

A bulk of insurance companies also offer a special plan for inbound immigrants into the US.

You might have found out by now that its very hard to get a company that has an insurance plan for immigrants into the USA.

Actually, the problem is not in finding one, but coping with the high premiums they charge. There are some few ones however, that will offer you up to 5 years of protection for any unexpected medical condition.

Interesting Concept

I wonder why the hospitals haven't tried to collect money from Mexico. If their citizens are illegally over here using limited resources, it would seem fair that the hospitals could take Mexico to court to help pay for the burden on American taxpayers. The country should be held liable for not securing its borders.

If only more arrivals to the U.S. were self-insured!

One of the anti-immigrant (particularly those from south of the U.S. border of dubious legal qualification to be in the U.S.) views that resounds most strongly in the U.S. is that many American citizens cannot afford health care, yet people who have not established a "right" to be here are clogging up the emergency rooms of local hospitals with routine complaints, which by law must be paid for out of the hospital's budget. So, either the hospital is forced to close outright (dozens in the Southwest have already done so) or the hospital must cut back on other services to meet budget shortfalls; either way, this basically screws the American taxpayer and local citizens who depend on the hospital to be there for legitimate concerns. The law ought to be rewritten that anybody will be seen in U.S. hospitals, but non-U.S. citizens need to be insured either through self-insurance or through the country of origin. If Mexico can come up with a "consular matricula" ID card, it can come up with a "we will pay for your hospital stay" card. Not saying that people should be denied medical care for legitimate medical reasons, but the system should not be gamed at the expense of people paying for it. CLICK HERE TO JOIN XOMBA TODAY!
