Amen, Sister XHellcatX

I just wanted to say, I totally agree with you (i.e. that 'what things mean' is not always the same). ---GET MONEY FREE for having fans ONLINE, writing about Buddhist Chant, Dr. Hot4Words, Time-Travel, Divine Art

Few Words ... Great Wisdom@From the Heart-Rycharde Manne-mythman

I was ~going to write~ "Few Words = Great Wisdom," but that (luckily for us Xombies) is not exactly true. (One who knows a lot MAY say very little and thus remain 'smarter,' but who said "being smarter than others" was wise?) ---GET MONEY FREE for having fans ONLINE, writing about Buddhist Chant, Dr. Hot4Words, Time-Travel, Divine Art

Good, You're Awake!@Rycharde Manne

So what I told you was "pure illusion," huh? Actually, the 'pure illusion' was something YOU added. I saw that you denied 'power over your thoughts'; YOU saw I saw 'you denied that you are the supreme emperorship over every single neurological impulse that floats through your head.' I saw no such thing! But there are thoughts in your head that you CAN 'control' (at least in terms of 'association with rightness, wrongness, happiness, etc). ---GET MONEY FREE for having fans ONLINE, writing about Buddhist Chant, Dr. Hot4Words, Time-Travel, Divine Art

Yup, yup....tis very cold.

Lots of snow, yaaaay ^_^ Anyhoos, I'm not saying the belief in a god is ignorant - it's just the way that people use religion as an excuse not to think or take action. "God will sort it out. Won't you, god?" or "I'm sorry, I can't help you, it goes against my religion." or "You are the most evil person ever because you do not have the exact same beliefs on the things that can't be answered or known at this point in life. Evil!" Believing in an after-life or a god is all well and fine as long it doesn't interfere with living your life or the lives of others. Seems like religion is mostly an accessory to have once everything else is in place. And danke for the links. Good reads. Subscribe to XHellcatX's Xombytes

Born to be Stupid

hiya Hellcat guess ice is on your mind a lot... still frozen in Scotland? and you might like to read this http://asylumjoy.blogspot.com/2009/02/born-to-believe-review-and-response.html Whilst analysing the original article it dawned on me that a better title would have been Born to be Stupid. Just that the author seems to have swallowed the Christian scientists' interpretations. oh..I should really add a link as a bit of chat about it on the Richard Dawkins forum too. Join Xomba Here

Mr Man, everybody knows....

...that Nessie is the one causing ice on Loch Ness, silly. I ain't blaming god at all, it's just the the blind lack of reason and intellect that people sometimes drive themselves with is scary and stoopid. Subscribe to XHellcatX's Xombytes

Haha

Do you really read something, and then make a conscious choice to react or not? That thought process is just to deep for someone simple like me . Maybe you are referring to an unconscious choice , which I can partially understand. If your hardened to a certain subject I can see where you have decided not to let it have an effect or reaction. I guess I don't really have power over my mind, I let it wander through thoughts and reactions at will, and my brain usually has an instant reaction to words. Okay, I have filled my rambling quota for today !

pure illusion

What does that mean? "power over your own mind". Who's power? Who's mind? You have power over your thoughts? You know what you're going to think before you think it and therefore can decide which thoughts to have power over? pure illusion. Join Xomba Here

And So You Deny Power over Your Own Mind~Rycharde Manne-From-thH

Sure, there are words you promise to react to in only one way; but it is still YOUR CHOICE to 'feel because' of words! ---GET MONEY FREE for having fans ONLINE, writing about Buddhist Chant, Dr. Hot4Words, Time-Travel, Divine Art

I really want God to be real, I do, I do....

Yes, I have to agree with From-the-Heart, words do things. So do ideas. Hence why the idea of God is so dangerous. Mockery is merely one reaction. This one is nice: ARGUMENT FROM TINKERBELL (1) I really want God to be real. (2) If you wish for something really hard, it'll come true. (3) Therefore, God exists. awwww.... bless! Join Xomba Here
