This is clever!

The State of Tenessee has a "crack tax" that raised $2 million dollars in 2006.

How does this work?

Drug dealers are suppose to confidentially buy stamps for their drug sales.

What happens if dealers don't buy the stamps and get caught for dealing?

They get prosecuted for both drug dealing and tax evasion.

What happens if dealers buy the stamps and get caught for dealing?

They don't get in trouble for tax evasion.

Where does this money go?

Anti-drug programs.

This is quite clever. What do you guys think?

I think you are right.

These ideas on the not going to jail if you got a stamp is pretty much what geo bush did in getting laws passed that allow his administration to do anything without being prosecuted.

This is the same as pre-pardons I wrote to the Justice Department about last year. You can Kill, Rape, Steal (espescially steal) do drugs all in the name of bush and the war on terror, and even speed! in your car! and just show em the laws written for you and your pre-pardon get back on the road aND DO IT AGAIN!

Great nation! read the constitution, see the part entitled ARTICLE V. All states, not just 2/3 or 3/4 to take the power out of Washington, back to the people. But the congressmean and senators you voted for -- they want the power in washington because it soaks up money like a sponge, but even better! LIKE EDDIE MURPHY SAID IN The Distinguished Gentleman. Its legal in DC.

Same as Nashville. Get a stamp, or a pre-pardon!

Are crack-dealers

to be believed? Or trusted? It sounds to me like an admission that they can't keep people from getting and using it, and so they will at least get some revenue from it.

What kind of drug programs will the money be used for? And who is making sure that this is what the money is used for?

Sounds like a 'crack' crock to me!

Oh, crack dealers are the most honest of people.

It's the plumber's crack you've gotta keep an eye on.
