To make money in texas hold'em there are lots of strategies. Each player has his own way of playing in poker. In texas hold'em all is about betting. A good player is the player who knows how to bet money and when to bet it. Some players calculate the probabilities they have to win a hand, but I don't like those players. In poker your expercience makes you a better platyer. To gain experience playing poker try to play poker with firends and play on facebook. There you don't win or lose any real money, so you can try the bloof (bloof?). In spanish is called "farol", and that is a typical poker play. It consists of betting a lot of money without having a good hand, so the other players think you have a really good hand and the fold. I think you already know what that is.
If you search on google.com, you'll find lots of people who will teach you when to bet or not, and thant will help you to win money!
So stop reading this and go on www.google.com and look for poker tips!
- The game begins with the blinds. The person to the left of the dealer posts a bet called the small blind, which is the half of the minimum bet. The person to the left of the small blind posts the big blind, equal to the minimum bet.
- The dealer shuffles one full deck of 52 poker cards, and then he deales 2 cards facing down to each player.
- Next there's a round of betting. Starts the player to the left of the big blind. Players must call any bet to continue playing. They can also raise or fold.
- After the betting, the dealer discards the card in the top of the deck (to prevent cheating) and then deals three cards facing up on the table. There are communal cards, and everybody can use them to make combinations and get a great poker hand
- Another round of betting that starts the player to the left of the dealer.
- The dealer flips one more card into the table.
- There is another round of betting that also starts the player to the left of the dealer.
- Finally the dealer flips the river. That's how is called the last card fliped into the table.
- Next there is the last round of betting.
- The showdown. Starting with the player to the left of the last player to call, each player shows his cards. The one with the best hand wins the pot.
- If the players have the same hand, the pot is split between them.
- The dealer changes and another round begins.
