Texas Megachurch Pastor Caught in Sex Sting

Joe Barron, 52, of Plano, Texas has been nabbed after he drove over 200 miles to meet up with what he thought was a 13 year-old girl for sex. Besides being a pervert, Barron is also a employed as a minister at Prestonwood Baptist Church.

Undercover officers found Barron online while pretending to be a teen girl. The conversations Barron engaged in were reportedly of a sexual nature. He suggested meeting in person on May 6, and arrived with condoms and a webcam in his car. Apparently Barron has been ministering to married adults at Prestonwood Baptist. Mike Buster, executive pastor, says he had no knowledge of any inappropriate actions while Barron was on the church staff.
