Thanks Nick, Jeremy and Abmox.
posted December 9, 2008 - 11:12amYesterday was Eid Al-Adha a Muslim holiday. There are only two holidays that Muslims celebrate each year: Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha.
After a long morning, I end up going out to visit family with my father. Spending this holiday without my mother wasn't easy, but after calling her overseas, I felt a little better.
When I came home, I went straight to the mail box to check if I had any mail and I am not sure if this was intentional or conicidental timing, but what do I see? A square envelope with the word XOMBA on it's upper left hand corner. That definitely cheered me up! I grabbed the envelope, left every other mail where it was and headed inside the apartment. After carefully opening the envelope, I took out the greeting card and read what is inscribed inside. It made me think about how well Xomba knows its members and how much this really is a community.
Thanks Nick, Jeremy and Abmox for the perfect timing and perfect message. Glad I am still here :)
