The Advantages of Using an Automated External Defibrillator

The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has save many lives already. From the time it was introduced to the Public last 2000, it has already gained popularity due to its effectiveness.

It has been noted that Defibrillation if given early can raised the chances of survival among victims of cardiac arrest or any other situation wherein the heart is in the state of quivering (fibrillating).

Prior to the introduction of AEDs, most defibrillation are given only upon the arrival of the Emergency Medical Services or ambulance personnel or when the patient arrives at the hospital with the use of manual defibrillators.

With the use of AED, the application of early defibrillation is not that far away since these devices are now place in public places and can be utilized by any person who have undergone an AED course.
