The Color of Beauty, By Jen Donier

By Jen Donier, written Nov. 20, 2004
Dedicated to Yanni and his orchestra
Woven in Symphotic music, Painting the air
In artistic crescendo of sunsets melting
into oceanic waves
Weaving a tapestry of autumn color against
a cascading waterfall tumbling over moss covered
rocks and
pooling in deep mystic shadow
whispered upon the wind as it caresses cedars
covered in winter laced snowfall, where snowbirds
huddle for warmth among the branches.
brushing through windswept desert sands
Kissing mountain peaks touched with golden sunlight
Gliding with sweet medley through forest glen
lifting an eagle as it spreads its wings
Heard in bird song and scent of rose upon night winds
catching a stag in stately pose
Sparkling through rainbowed water mists
from earth drenched rains after a thunderstorm
Color of beauty totally refined, soothing
mind, body and soul.
