Clothing designers will vouch for the number of times they’ve been inundated with requests for the Hum Apke Hain Kaun electric
blue saree or the lehengas from Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham.

It’s true – fashion and films are integral and both feed off each other. From Dev Anand†s puffed haircut to Amitabh Bachchan’s
angry-man-look complete with the knotted shirt and Madhuri’s curls that made the `step-cut’ a national craze, though not quite as Sadhna’s Audrey Hepburnesque fringe. Here’s a look at the crazy, changing ways of fashion in our films.
