The Dead Sea Scrolls are Going Digital

Written more than 2,000 years ago, the Dead Sea Scrolls are making the transition from parchment to the digital age.

The Israel Antiquities Authority announced Wednesday that it will digitally photograph the scrolls, scan them, and post them on the Internet. Some of the Dead Sea Scroll are older than 2,000 years old, and some text represent the oldest written record of the Old Testament.
