The Exodus Of Nurses

The Exodus Of Nurses

There is a sudden fluctuation of nurses population in the Philippines but in spite of that, there is still a scarcity or shall i say only few are practicing their profession in the country.

At the back of the mind of the graduates of nursing is the greener pasture and that is to go abroad. The principal reason is because of the much greater compensation compare to the compensation here in the Philippines which i think would only range from 7,000-9,000 in monthly basis. It is approximately 175-225 US dollars which you could earn in a day.

Doctors are even shifting their courses to nursing. This is a great concern that the government should look up. If the exodus would continue, many Filipinos who are sick will suffer because would not receive the best care that they need. Nurses cant even focus their care because of the load of patient that she is carrying.

We cant blame the nurses who choses to go abroad than to stay in the country. They are just being practical. They want to escape from this dungeon of poverty. Who would not want to live a life on top or away from poverty?

I,personally is also wanting to go abroad after i completed the necessary requirements. For now I am going to take my Local Board Examination and the other examinations will be my next plan like CGFNS, NCLEX and IELTS.
