The Eye of the Storm - Housing Market Blues...
Sale prices of homes have been falling, any buyer that was in the market of buying a home should be buying up one now. But it appears such home buyers are holding back, interestingly, some reports show these homebuyers can not afford to buy a new home due to the tighter lending practices that have taken place since the decline of the housing market. This problem is about to worsen as mortgage rates are on the incline. As the interest rates increases, the monthly payment that a new owner will be paying will increase as well, hence new homeowners maybe pinching themselves and possibly are rethinking the amount they are willing to pay or lend; therefore, we may very well continue to see potential home buyers sitting on the fence and waiting for the the sale price of homes to drop some more. Of course, this may not happen if mortgages can come down a little more than what they are at now; however, the economic market always reacts as a result of interventions; for example, the housing relief package that was recently signed out by the feds, will affect our economy - and it may not be in a good way. Once the states and private institutions begin implementing the relief, the market will take notice and as a result the rates will go up, this may not affect those who get the relief, but it will affect others, and it then becomes a number game, as to how many people actually get affected by this. Thankfully, those who are willing to trade their homes using any of the alternative methods, may not get caught up in this trap. Who wants to desperately sell their home at any cost, pay off commission fees, may have damaged their credit rating and yet find themselves in the market of renting a home or attempting to buy another home now with a higher interest rate - this of course is assuming someone will buy your home soon and banks will lend enough to cover the financing that is needed. Much rather avoid this mess, and find a way to swap a home with someone who also would benefit from swapping their home too - good thing we have www.TrySwappingIt.com
