The famous no yes argument change up

We were on the way to the store when our 4 year old stated that he wanted to go in with my wife in to the shop. She said "no, you need to wait in the car with your dad", to which his quick reply was "yes, I want to go in." No, my wife said again. Yes, he said back. No yes no yes, over and over till my wife decided that she is going to change it up and trick him by saying yes.
Without missing a beat he blurts out “see mom, you said yes, ha ha now I can go in with you!”
