The Fisherman That did not Report the Ghost Ship
According to smh.com.au, there was a "ghost ship" that was spotted drifting near a reef off of North Queensland. The ship had a ripped sale and nobody was seen on board. The fisherman did not contact authorities.
On Wednesday, an inquest heard that the boat, Kaz II, came within 50 meters of fishing boat, called The Jillian, April 17th of 2007. That was the day before a Coast Watch aircraft first noticed The Jillian with a ripped sail and no sign of a crew.
There is an investigation going on for the disappearance of
Peter Tunstead, 69, Perth yachtsmen Des Batten, 56, and his brother Jim, 63.
It was their yacht that was spotted by Coast Watch drifting North-North-East following the current going about three knots an hour. It went through a space in the reef and there was no sign of anyone on the boat.
