The Fortune Teller's Hook

The Fortune Teller's Hook

4
points

I look into my crystal ball,
I would strive to see it all.
The where, the when, the why the how,
Yesterday, tomorrow, now.

Ever close, yet far away,
Beware the soothe, would I to say.
To cross my palm, a silver coin,
I’d tell you where your live is going.

Only lonely now are you,
Wish to find your lover true.
Looking, searching, that’s the case,
And in my ball I see the place.

You shall meet the one you seek,
I see you dancing cheek to cheek.
Little more can I impart,
Cupid’s arrow in your heart.

Another coin, I’ll tell you more,
Before I rush you out the door.
No more money? That’s okay,
For now, there’s nothing more to say.

As you hurry home tonight,
Yearn for love with all your might.
Remember when and where I’ll be,
And your future love I see.

For you’ll be back upon the morrow,
Hoping I will end your sorrow.
More silver coins on me you’ll spend
I’ve seen it all; I know the end.
