The Gandhian Thought is Dying in India-XXII-The UNO and the Need of the Global Peace and the Peace Education- Our Human Need!
Mahatma Gandhi was not a politician; he was a visionary man, who had a dream representing the Indian Civilization and the Philosophy. The divide and rule is a kind of tactics, which Indian Thought and Philosophy does not support. The Indian message to the world always has been to unite and serve, the essence of Peace and the Peace Education. The spirit of serving seems so at times high that the people, in the large, may feel that an Indian may be playing some kind of tricks, while serving others humbly and happily. The Indian prayers for peace are for the nation, world and the universe. This concept has always boosted the way the Indian want to live. Welcoming any guest from any part of the world is the prima factor and serving one as the Martin, the main character in the Leo Tolstoy’s novel, War and Peace is the most ancient way of living and it can be found in the hearts of Indians.
The contribution of the Gandhian Thought is not for the freedom of India, it is not attaching the idea to it that way. The movement of human spirit of liberty, freedom and self-respect began in the South Africa. Mahatma Gandhi started the movement in the South Africa. Thus it was the beginning of the concept of world as a family.
The ideal person, who followed the footprints of Mahatma Gandhi, is the former President of the South Africa, Nelson Mandela. If we confine the Gandhian Thought to the Indian context only it is disgracing the spirit of human awareness for civilized world. The movement of nonviolence from South Africa spread even to the other parts of the world. The ruling of over the world by certain countries has been affecting the native cultures and the civilizations from long times. The human slavery was one of the major problems. For the USA, the former President Abraham Lincoln made the efforts, which transformed the American Civilization.
While we discus about the re-addiction and the rehabilitation, who may ever forget the Dark Age of Chinese Civilization, when the nation went through the addiction of the morphine, though it seems an example, which no other country has been able to set, we seem in need to understand the ways and means for such global problems, whether we use the humanistic, humanitarian and other ways as China did.
The French revolution and other countries needed a great effort as well and that is why the idle became the ideal people, philselfologically, and are now enjoying the freedom of the modern age.
We need to pay homage to all, without consideration of the ways of political system prevailing there, we have broaden the horizons to solve all the conflicts and peace resolving and the similar problems, the way it goes to the Gandhi and the other world leaders of all times.
Well, you see in Russia the former President the Lenin made a great efforts for the civilian life against the great damaging powers, which were destroying the sense of equality and the spirit of liberty, freedom and self-respect. We seem afraid of the philosophies, theories and the political systems, which started to establish the democracy all over the world. This fear has caused the unnatural splitting of the common points and the grounds for the human civilization.
The slavery in the Africa, America, the Russian suppression before 1917 and the slavery of many countries till the last one of the South Africa needed effort in one or the other form. Now, when these political systems became prominent globally, the countries started to impose their system as the best and the most ideal for other countries. It began the trading of the democracy, which end up in the Second World War. The First World War was the end of era of one human civilization, in which the democracy did not have a way to open the gateway for the future.
The First World War was for the democracy, as it appears to be, though it could have been avoided. Now, the problem is that the science and technology has become the tools of the democratic deformation globally. We may not get out of this slavery as it so refined and deep rooted that it seems impossible to live simple and the natural life, which all of the great leaders of the world sought at the dawn of democracy.
The Mahatma Gandhi represented it uniquely as he set a holistic example to serve without power hunger. The serving for the needs of the common people is democracy; the other way to create and fulfill the greed for more desires is trading in the name of democracy. We may think over it if we can think as the Gandhi thought. Thanks and May Peace and Nonviolence Prevail On Earth!
