Heed the Ways of the Good Daddy

The God Lesson? It's 'who God is.' In brief, He is your good daddy.

Good girls grow up to meet new daddies; new daddies are what good boys grow up to be.

A good daddy tells you how to find-or-be a good daddy when he tells you who he is & where to find him.

'When they ask who I am, just tell them what I do (I Am).

'When they look for me now, they won't find me if they look for me doing what they thought I did before; and they won't find me if they look for me doing what they think I plan to do in the future.'

(I.e. Histories are about as useful as fairy-tales; plans, about as useful as fortune-tellers' forecasts---they'll both give you some idea of how to be acting, but not unless you act accordingly!)

That is the problem with the world: Time-- ... well, not 'time' so much as 'the mystery of 'time''s length.' That's why people don't get along: succinctly, all we "know" we have is "now," making 'later' and 'afterward' about as imaginary as that $5 you each owe me.

Whatever it is one wants, he wants it 'now;' 'later' or 'afterward,' he should want 'interest' (consider it "paying him to wait for what he wanted before").

A prominent example of this problem is the currently-average family-plan. (Please note, this may only apply to my family [in Oklahoma, at least; as we were never really in touch with family in New York], so it may not apply to you and yours.)

In my family, the children start to work as soon as they can handle it--usually around 12 or 13, probably by 16, definitely by 18--and soon begin to build independent accounts. As soon as possible (i.e. with legal age reached and sufficient savings reserved), the children move into their own property.

As soon as possible after that, the children each find a life-partner. This usually happens for males around age 24-26 and females around age 16-20.

Not only is this a little crazy because it puts me around 'marryin` age' (but not exactly---I explain later), but also because a 'Netscape-survey' of relationship experts put men's- and women's optimal marrying ages at 32 and 26 (respectively).

(Well, the survey may have been more about
 the optimal ages at which to conceive children;
but conception of children has always been
painted as one of the main reasons for marriage.)

Why the near-decade discrepancies? The mystery of time's length! Every man wants his 'legend' to live forever--not 'forever later' or 'forever afterward', but 'forever now'--and he may not know that'll happen unless he makes an everlasting contribution to the world's evolution.

Even though he may make the contribution through his writing, his customer service or the story of his success, the only way to make sure his contribution lasts forever is to have children and give them jobs in his own business (thus making their survival dependent upon his other contributions' continuance).

As the 'working' is his own method of survival, the child has to learn the continuance ... i.e. my grandfather's various contributions to the automotive-industry might've become the industry's 'cornerstones,' but his children (those that followed the family-plan) didn't focus on 'strengthening his contributions' so much as 'getting a paycheck.'

So the 'mystery of time's length'-problem manifests as more of a 'mystery of paycheck-source's upkeep,' setting 'doing your job' as equal to 'praising God' ... i.e. do stuff for their money now, `coz you don't know if they'll still be offering the money 'later' or 'afterward.'
