The Heartbeat of Xomba
I have been here on xomba for a couple of months now. Since I joined and actually published a few bytes and blurbs I have met through the comments some very interesting and diverse individuals while making a little bit of money.
Here are a few members I felt compelled to write about and explain why I consider them to be the Heartbeat of Xomba.
I call Mythman "The Teacher" His knowledge of life and the word of God resident in his soul and his ability to compare the two is refreshing but also takes thought and consideration to figure out. When I do the light goes on. You are a teacher Mythman.
Kjhack is the one I call the "Sensible one". His almost unemotional but VERY thoughtful and sensible comments have on more than one occasion literally caused me to stop and take a look at myself. The last time Kjhack did this is when he told me to "take the blinders off" and at the end of his comment he said "Grow up". I still laugh because I know I tend to rant.
Mrbronco and Veghead are the "sensitive ones". Through there sensitivity and Mrbronco's talent for spotting misspelled words I have learned to understand that others not only myself have valid feelings and while writing I do not have to yell. I also have figured out that while trying to look smart my writing can look pretty dumb by leaving some very misspelled words. Sorry Veghead if I spelled your name wrong here but Mrbronco is not online to correct my spelling.
Vegheads love for animals simply melted my heart.
Here are the "big guns". These are the two who hammer me constantly to challenge my intelligence. This would be Publius and Jdubhub. Although these two are totally on two different planets when it comes to agreeing with one another they are both very analytical thinkers. Jdub I like to get riled because he has a lot of fight in him and although we agree on nothing except that our government is no longer a Constitutional Republic I can tell he would stand with you until the end. The man has guts. Publius I believe will teach you what you think you all ready know and give you the reasons why he is standing with you. I like the sensible conservatism that comes along with him in his writing.
These are the ones who have made the most impact on me since I have been a part of this body. Truly to me the ones I have mentioned here are not only the body but the heart beat of Xomba.

I think I surprise people when the real me shows up. Behind all this tough exterior, I am really easygoing.LOL
A good reminder
Good article, eggs. It should serve as a welcome reminder that, behind each of our computer keyboards, we are all just people. We don't have to agree on everything, perhaps in many instances we'll agree to disagree, but in the end I think we all want the same thing.

I just looked up how to spell veghead and I did have it wrong bronco. I fixed it now though. I hope I got it changed before she saw my terrible spelling.
Odd...
... that all the comments on that post are gone. I didn't think there was anything offensive there, maybe they thought things were heading downhill, or felt it was becoming too much of a back-and-forth, chat-room atmosphere.
You don't see that happen too often.

I know I was surprised too. It is kind of funny how comments on my page were taken off on purpose. We weren't even cussing lol. All the rest were gone on accident. Anyway no hard feelings. I have met great people here on Xomba and I am still very quick to say Xomba is my favorite page to write on hands down.

I have been "emotional" at times, eggs. But I do tend to take a few steps back before making a post I might regret. However, I learned that through the years. There were times in the past when I could post quite angrily.

There was a glitch.

Took me off the top ten again. One day I will know all the rules. I guess I should read more instead of just checking the agreement boxes. LOL
For the record this post is a creative writing article about the characters I have met on Xomba. It is not about xomba. If it was edited and I took the word xomba out and expressed only emphasis on characters would that fix the problem. It would only be two sentences. I would call it heart beat of a body or the body makes the page, and change wording on two sentences to make it acceptable? I knew when I wrote this article it would be liked and it is.
Oh well the bosses have spoken. And I still LOVE xomba. The rules are to be followed!

Why? Probably a selfish reason like "I want the regular readers to think we writers were 'exclusively invited' to be here" (nevermind all the 'hey buddy! d`ya wanna make a money writin`? FERR FREε??? Clickie-clickie!' lol)
When people go into the Xomba-section, a kind of 'veil' is lifted ... like watching a movie in a literature class---"Ya` mean 'people' write this stuff?" Yeah!
But in the other sections, we writers can still be somewhat 'myterious!' ... umm, 'oooooooooooooo!' lol
