The Hobbit-The Story of Bilbo Baggins

The Hobbit is a wonderful tale that gives the history behind The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy. I'm very excited that there is finally going to be a movie made on this book. It tells the story of Bilbo Baggins and how he came to be in possession of The Ring, which he acquired from Gollum.

The Hobbit, or There and Back Again is a fantasy novel written by J. R. R. Tolkien in the tradition of the fairy tale. It was first published on September 21, 1937 to wide acclaim. While it stands in its own right, it is often marketed as a prelude to Tolkien's monumental novel The Lord of the Rings.
