The Hurting Heart
posted October 4, 2006 - 1:17pmThough none do hear me sigh, I sigh my sigh
In silent creeping sorrow, nagging dread,
And rack me how can love once fervent die,
Or, be revived and nurtured if not dead.
Somnolent, maybe, if not dead?
I long, so long, her laughter to ignite
How to that powder set my doubtful flame
To make her burst again with light?
