The Hurting Heart

posted October 4, 2006 - 1:17pm
The Hurting Heart

Though none do hear me sigh, I sigh my sigh
In silent creeping sorrow, nagging dread,
And rack me how can love once fervent die,
Or, be revived and nurtured if not dead.

Somnolent, maybe, if not dead?
I long, so long, her laughter to ignite
How to that powder set my doubtful flame
To make her burst again with light?

Thank you

Thank you for your magnanimous comment on my poem. I had totally forgotten it was posted here. I wrote it a couple of years ago, and yes, it was very personal.

Beautiful Poem

Your poetry is beautiful and deep... Seems very personal and heart felt... Keep up the good work..... Anna
