The Hypocrisy of the "Anti-American" Shouters
posted August 25, 2008 - 2:07pmOver the last 8 years, the likes of Rush Limbaugh have consistently labeled all critics of Bush and his policies, essentially calling them traitors who should be tried for treason. Very curious, that, considering Limbaugh attacked Bill Clinton all through his eight-year residency at that big white house on Pennsylvania Avenue. < p>
But of course, it's perfectly acceptable for Republicans to voice their disdain for a liberal president. After all, "liberalism" is a cancer on this nation, right? Chortle.
What I find even more hysterical about these hard core republicans is how they blame Clinton for 9/11. No matter how many times I point out that Republicans were more concerned with their ridiculous witch hunt against Clinton than addressing the issue of Islamic fundamentalism. Hell, most of them were adulterers themselves. Sure, Slick Willy made mistakes on that front. But it appears that he gave Bin Laden a little more focus than Bush did during his first months in office. You can point out that despite dozens of warnings coming in about an impending attack on our country, Bush did virtually nothing to secure our nation. Ahhh, but it's still all Clinton's fault. Double chortle.
Hypocrisy, and highly selective memories, abound in politics. I've grown so tired of listening to the same, lame, tired rhetoric being shat from the mouth of partisan political monkeys. I'm wondering if these very same people who shout the "anti-American" tripe so loudly will support Obama should he be elected this November. I wouldn't count on it.
The end of this sham of a political process we call The Presidential Election cannot come soon enough for me.
