The Important Thing is That Star's Health Is Improved

A "Medical Intervention" is what the former co-host of The View called her gastrict bypast surgery, and why not? What some might think is a euphamism could very well have saved Jones' life. Yes, it is probably a stretch of the truth to call a gastric bypass surgery a medical intervention, but isn't it just that: a medical intervention?
Jones seems very apologetic and embarrassed about keeping her medical procedure under lid. I don't know why. She deserves to have her medical history stay private, and she had a good reason for not going public with this aspect of her life. She didn't want to encourage others to just run out and follow suit, without making an informed decision with a well qualified doctor as she did. Isn't that exactly what started to happen after Al Roker went public with his surgery? Al Roker had good intentions. Star Jones simply needed to lose the wieght, before anything more serious happened. Who is the public to get mad at her for not being so quickly forthcoming?
