The life of a coin: so many possibilities

Coins, coins, everywhere. If you were a coin what would you hear? The jingle of a child's piggy bank? What kind of sounds would you hear when the coin is rustling in some one's pocket? Some of those sounds couldn't possibly be pleasant. I wonder how quiet it is in the cash register, or would you hear lots of town gossip in local coffee shops and diners? It could be exciting to be a coin. Travel would be free, and you could be a part of some major covert operation(s). They have the possibility of reaching many hands, being traded for goods and services, and being housed in many people's pockets. They could find themselves in any home or business, and no one would have been the wiser.
Some coins have actually been discovered travelling in Canada housing radio frequency transmitters. Canadian Security Intelligence Service claims to have known nothing about it.
Coins carrying radio frequency transmitters were found on three different occasions, planted on U.S. contractors travelling through Canada who had classified security clearances. No one knows who's tracking the American defense contractors, or why. It is not clear how the Pentagon discovered them, how they might function, or which currency contained them. Canada is not a likely suspect, as Canada and the U.S. share close alliances. Likely suspects include China, Russia, and France - because they have been known to actively run espionage operations inside Canada. It is also possible that these spies may be involved in corporate espionage.
Why would someone use such a device? Coins contain metal, which interferes with signals that may be emmitted - limiting range capabilities. Also, targets might give the coin away to someone else, or spend the coin. Then again, the use of coins would not arrouse suspicion (though the coins were still discovered in this case).
What I can say about this is that I think it could be the inspiration for some great movies! It could definitely teach children why they need to wash their hands, and why they should never put money in their mouths. It could teach geography and culture. It could teach many perspectives. It could also show lot of adventures. Oh, the life of a coin. So many possibilities...

I don't know how you can track any current coins (other than the way you describe), but you can track good ol` George! Write with Love ... That's me
