The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse

2
points

There is a lighthouse,
That stands tall and straight,
The waters crash, but still it stands.
It shines and shines, throughout the night,
Keeping all the ships on course and afloat.
That beacon of light, for all to see,
Least one, runs upon the jagged rocks.
The light is always, always there,
Even as the weary sailors sleep,
That lighthouse begs to shine.
Cause one never, ever knows,
When a bright light will be needed,
To guide, some tired, hapless soul,
To their comforting, waiting home.
So. when your soul is drifting,
And, you feel you are slipping away,
Don't give up your courageous fight,
Hold on, to your hope and your belief.
Look for that shining, steady light,
Which will guide you, through the night,
Taking you safely, on to the shore.
To a place of solace and comfort,
To rest, replenishment and calm.
So that you may then, travel on,
To seek your ultimate destiny.
Let the lighthouse guide you there.
