The Open Mind... "Due to Others"

Due to Others....
I think it's disturbing that others can pass judgement on another person for the way someone else acts. It's a bit bothersome. I've found plenty of times that people have passed judgement on me, sneered at me, ignored me, etc just because they find out I'm Christian. ( www.gotquestions.org )It's not cool at all.
I understand there are Hypocrites out there. In all honesty, I could be called one too. I do my best to follow the commandments of My Lord Jesus, but I am Human. I have faults. Sometimes those faults get the best of me. I don't believe I've ever done anything to hurt someone or make them think I'm some horrible ogre of a monster. Yet other people who say they're Christian, yet don't act as one, have given those of us who are True Christians a bad rap. It sucks yes... but what can I do.
It's very similar to me saying "OK...Sadaam( www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saddam_Hussein ) was a bad Iraqi... there for all Iraqi's must be as evil as he." or even saying "The Unibomber was a Horrible evil man, therefor anyone wearing a Hoody must be just as Evil".... Sigh.. Just a thought....

RE: Okay ... Last Time ...

#1 (Stay with me, I'm goin` somewhere here): I went to Oklahoma City University because it was/is private (read: expensive). But the undergraduates were mostly dancers, which I can't ever be; and thus most of the men were homosexual (read: not there for the women), leaving all the boobies to me. Needless to say, I didn't learn much---especially in History class, which always took place at a usually-horny time-of-day. But I do remember one thing from history class: Napoleon was an exceptional conqueror, both -of-nations and -of-women (and ya wonder why that stuck with me, hmmm?) He conquered because--when pursuing conquest--he had NOTHING BUT HER IN HIS MIND. There was nothing else in known existence but 'her' and 'he.' You could say that I--when responding to a post--am Napoleonic to that Xombyte (which is good, since moderator nick tells me Xombytes are NOT message-boards); so I have to ask ... 'buhwuhh?' #2: For some reason, I feel inspired to remind you what Mother Theresa said about praying: She said that--when she prays--she just listens, that God just listens; and, if you don't understand what happens, you're not listening. #3: Your 'being blackballed' is similar to the story of Lucifer. I may be paraphrasing here, but basically: Lucifer (possibly under a different name) 'the Lord's Army's primary weapon.' But he had cognizance of things going on upon which the Lord could not look, and Lucifer wanted a piece o` `dat! Getting his piece, Lucifer fell out of the Lord's sight, was replaced, and thus had no reason to exist anywhere in the Lord's sight. See, aligning yourself with belief in the Lord's ways 'marks' you as one of His soldiers; and, being so markéd, you are 'blackballed' when you fall out of his sight. Luckily, the Lord accepts His children back into the rightful place of a Good Son no matter how prodigal they have been. #4: I don't care exactly what 'statements' you're talking about, but 'defended-Faith' is not faith; further, if your Faith is anything that can even be harmed in any way, it is false. I understand you might've meant 'standing beside/for your faith,' but I don't think "Jesus Christ" was about 'finding God's law for the books' so much as 'finding God's law for each human.' RE: ... yeah -- HUMANS *ARE* HYPOCRITES

What I commented on was your "I don't want to be a hypocrite. I follow the ten commandments and all that, but I'm human." You're saying following the ten commandments isn't human? Those're the most-human method of Christianity---crawling along the border of 'Thou shalt not's and bumping your head in the parchment-wall when you think thou shalt might anyway. But love the creative force above everything (including yourself, whom you love as much as your world's co-survivors), and you've found the grain of the parchment-wall (in order that you might bust-through if`n ye gotsta!) this post is so inspiring, I might gather a few of my comments from here and make another post about them!Write with Love ... Flies and more

Maybe we can combine this discussion with the "Who is the Lord" topic and can call F.Swatter "Lord of the Flies." ;-)

Then I Would Say That I Misunderstood the Eliminator of Flies

...and now I will proceed to run away to the other Xombyte with my tail between my legs... ...but I'm overjoyed to have gained that clarity on your 'beliefs'... ...that this is truly the start of a completely separate topic... thank you so much! however, that is why i referred to the other xombyte, because it is the birth and this is the continuation, and I shall continue at the birthplace of misunderstandings...

I presume that with the

I presume that with the moniker "flyswatter", I'm the referenced "Eliminator of Flies"? Because if I am, my prior comment addressed the xombyte by Chief, not Mythman's comment. Flyswatter Xomba Moderator

Ok... last time....

#1, I stated that I mis read the xombite in question, therefor I admitted my fault. #2, my initial impression was due to statements made on the original xombite. Even if the original xombite was someone else's writings, the copier/poster did not state that they disagreed with the original comments copied. Therefor giving the impression not only by not stating that they did "not" feel this way, but by other comments that were added as well. So I don't understand how you can say I was judging a book by it's cover? Doesn't make sense if I'm going by what I saw. #3, the xombite above is based upon the actions of individuals who take a name that I have been categorized under due to my beliefs and black ball me due to the name. Not because of words I've spoken, or actions I've made. Therefor they are judging a book by it's cover. #4, you are taking my entire response and original xombite out of context as well. You've stated that, and I quote " Oh yes, you are the only ones with immunity from all judgement, only you can judge others because... you are so righteous?" I don't understand where you get this from? Is it because you've experienced this type of "judgement" from another? Therefor because I claim to be "Christian" you decide that I MUST be doing the same thing? Not sure... also care not to know. I simply stated what I stated because I felt the need to defend my Faith in JESUS CHRIST and will continue to do so until the day I die. Get used to it... I'm a be here for a while. chief

Just An FYI to the Eliminator of Flies

Chief said... "people should really learn to not judge a book by it's cover". Isn't that the same thing you did when you "misunderstood" (by reading too fast and not paying attention to details) and made judgements against Mythman in your comment on his Xombyte? "I think it's a bit rude that you would try to degrade what some people truly and Honestly believe is the Word of God. You're Misunderstanding of The Lord's Word is unfortunately sad. You should really try not to take things out of context, especially when it involves beliefs of certain individuals" What about the people who Don't believe in God? What if they believed in more than one? What if their God was instead a pile of noodles and tomato sauce and meatballs for eyes? Who are "certain individuals" in your POV? Why not just everybody? Maybe you were just saying that to make reference to yourself, then you should just say "involves MY beliefs", just to clear up the confusion. You and all the people who have the same beliefs? Oh yes, you are the only ones with immunity from all judgement, only you can judge others because... you are so righteous? Tell me how YOU weren't judging the book by its cover, and this book I refer to is the book of Audaciousness. I think another one here may have had a mistaken impression as well, I guess through no fault of their own, but if they would refer to the original xombyte which began this series of "mistaken impressions", "misunderstandings", they would see the author of this xombyte was the one who was led to a mistaken impression. If it were me that was mistaken, took something out of context, I would say that I made a mistake and apologize, I can tell you where if you want to confirm that. Just so nobody can think me a Hypocrite. Chief, don't take this the wrong way, you should take it as a way to improve yourself, I don't claim to be any better than you, but to be human is to make mistakes and actually Learn from them. Seeking the truth is good too. Paying attention to details (at least the attempt) is really very super-rad too I don't think I will post here anymore, I believe that this post was a farce and I believe that if anyone has anything else to say, I would give them my command to proceed to the original Xombyte that began this series of misunderstandings!!!!

I often have the same

I often have the same thought - look at me as a human first, with all the strengths and weakness that might come with that, and then judge me. So often, people take the easy way and categorize others before knowing them as individuals. It leads to so many mistaken impressions. Flyswatter Xomba Moderator

yeah....

I'm aware of the reason for the 10 commandments. I believe you missed the point of my writing. I don't necessarily like to be called a Christian. I don't like to be labeled and I can't stand being categorized under the worl Religion. My beliefs are as follows..."Love thy God(Jesus)with all of thine heart, mind, and soul". So... people should really learn to not judge a book by it's cover. Chief
