The Politics of Change in the United States
As the United States nears another presidential election, the candidates are promising changes. Barrack Obama is promising us changes. Hillary Clinton is promising changes. Yes; even John McCain is on the change bandwagon.
There is no doubt we need change. With fuel prices skyrocketing up to $4 per gallon, food prices on the increase, and a record number of housing foreclosures; we definitely need something to change. Let’s take a look at the changes we are being promised.
Obama and Clinton have repeatedly promised to raise our taxes. That is a change we all could go for! Take more of our money so we have less to spend.
McCain is vouching on amnesty for illegal immigrants. Allow those who suck our health care system dry to increase our cost of health care. I’m sure we all could use another increase in insurance premiums.
There is a very simple solution and it’s not Obama, Clinton, or McCain. It is in the United States Congress. This would be a plan which would favor all those living within the confines of the United States: legal or illegal.
Pressure the Congress to enact the fair tax amendment. There would be no more tax forms. Anyone spending money in the United States would be contributing to our economy. It would not matter if that person was here illegally. Everyone, rich and poor alike, would pay the same.
I really do not care the color of a candidate’s skin. In fact; I could care less what party a person represents. All I know, is that the more Government involved, the less freedom we have and the less money we have to spend.
Tell all of these candidates that you’re sick and tired of them telling us what is best for us. We should be telling them what’s best.
I say vote for Homer Simpson. He’s just stupid enough to listen to us poor uneducated sheep that will follow the person with the biggest smile right over the edge of the cliff.
I whole-heartedly agree...except for the Homer Simpson part.
The FairTax may be the last chance we have as an electorate to change our government. Nothing else seems to be working or seems to matter to our politicians.
