The real meaning of failure

The real meaning of failure

Humans tend to view failure from a temporal (earthly) perspective. Want to know what failure really is? Then follow me. True failure is when an individual fails to accomplish that which the creator God appointed them to do. Failure from an eternal perspective is to stand before God on judgment day only to discover that you did not fulfill the creator’s purpose for your life on earth. Let me explain.

Failing in the earth is temporary and can be redeemed. For instance while still alive in the earth, if you sin against God there is opportunity to repent and start again. Failing an examination does not mean the end has come. You can still dust yourself up and attempt the same examination and pass whether it is at the second or third or fourth time of asking. As far as the earth is concerned you only fail when you refuse to rise from a fall and not try again.

Now God has appointed each man work to do on earth. If you die without accomplishing that work, on judgment day you will be deemed to have failed because there will be no second chance then. On judgment day there is no second chance. So what if the 1st business you established crashed like a house without a foundation? Does that make you a failure? Again I say no. While there is life there is hope and a live dog is better than a dead lion. Get up articulate lessons learned from the failure and start another. Your last failure is not final except you allow it.

It is time we begin to look at failure for what it really is. Failure in the earth (temporal) can be redeemed but eternal failure cannot be redeemed. Because for this one, there are no offers of a second chance. The Bible tells us that it is appointed for man to die once and after that comes judgment. When you die you will be judged by God for what you did and didn’t do. This all the more reason why you must understand your purpose for being alive in the earth. You are not an accident and you are on earth on purpose for a divine purpose

Again if you ask me I will say that the real meaning of failure is:
(1) At death you do not have a relationship with the Lord God
(2) At death you do not fulfill God’s purpose for your life.

Attain the loftiest of heights in life, accumulate wealth, make a name for yourself in the earth yet if you do not have a relationship with the creator God ,which will ultimately lead you on the path to fulfilling His purpose for your life you would have failed BIG time.

What the world calls success is abomination in the eyes of God. The world measures success in terms of how much wealth, fame and fortune you attain on earth. For God success is you in relationship with God and living out His purpose for your life. Success is to know God and understanding His purpose for your life and living it.

Educational failure, lack of fame, business or career failure is not really failure if you have the courage to pick up the pieces of your fall and try again. This type of failure can be redeemed and turned around as long as the individual is alive. This kind of failure is neither tragic nor fatal.

Failure that cannot be redeemed is when you stand before God on judgment day only to be told that despite the fame, name and wealth you are a failure because you did not do that which matters when you were in the earth which is: discover God’s purpose for your life and live it to the fullest. A lot of people waste time on what is not their God given purpose?

Dear friend that I trust is not your lot in life. I can’t bear to imagine how many will stand before God on judgment day feeling like champions only to be judged as losers. Let us get a proper perspective of failure and determine to live our lives on purpose and with purpose for God.
