The Real Story of Peter Pan

Long before Harry Potter, one of the favourite stories for children was Peter Pan. Although it seems to have lost its place nowadays, it was not too long ago revived in movie form in the film Hook, with Robin Williams as Peter Pan and Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook. That was in 1991. A later movie in 2003 called Peter Pan was also a great success.

The creator of Peter Pan was J.M. Barrie. His first Peter Pan story was called The Little White Bird, published in 1902.

He lived in Kensington Gardens in London, and the world of his imagination was inspired by five boys that he met in Kensington Gardens. He died in 1937.

The house in which he lived and wrote his stories is now put up for sale for the price of about US$13 million.
