The Shame I Feel (Confession of a So You Think You Can Dance Viewer)

So You Think You Can Dance
I would like to start this byte with the standard "Hi my name is" statement but that has been played out. Instead I will just say I am closet So You Think You Can Dance viewer and be done with it. That's right America; I am a straight man living in the South that likes watching a dance competition! I say it with my head high - unless there are guys around then I deny all knowledge of said show.
I first noticed the show flipping channels and saw a bunch of scantily clad young women throwing themselves around a stage, dancing to music. I had to stay and watch. After that first show way back in Season 2, I was hooked. It is now Season 4 and I never miss and episode - I even Tivo it in case I miss something. I catch myself saying things to my ex (yes we watch the show together - how sick is that?) like "She missed a step", "He is much better than she is" and "Her lines are bad". I no longer watch for the young women jumping about (although that is a plus) now I watch for the dancing. So You Think You Can Dance is my new "must see TV". I enjoy the choreography especially the Australian Tangos and Salsas. How sad is that?
Anyway, this year I like Courtney and Kerrington alot. I was a little sad to see Raven and her partner leave but, they were the weakest the bottom 6, in my opinion and their routine was just OK.
Have pity on me.
