J.K. Rowling's "The Tales of Beedle the Bard", Collector's Edition Will Be Released on December 4, 2008

The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Collector's Edition will be released on December 4th 2008. An Amazon exclusive, this hardcover reproduction of J.K. Rowlings original "Tales of Beedle the Bard" was produced with the approval of the owners of the limited number of books that she released in December of 2007.

Amazon bought the handwritten copy at auction and now has produced a beautiful edition of these five fairy tales illustrated by J.K. Rowling herself.

The collector's edition comes in an elaborately designed case fashioned to look like a Hogwarts library textbook and includes an exclusive reproduction of J.K. Rowling's handwritten intro and ten unique illustrations that won't be found in the Standard Edition or even in the original copies. Inside the case the book itself is inside of a velvet bag embroidered with the author’s signature.

Proceeds from both the Collector's Edition and the Standard Edition support Children's High Level Group, a charity registered in England and Wales and founded by Ms Rowling and Baroness Emma Nicholson of Winterbourne to help institutionalized children throughout Europe.

Many people are preordering now for December. You might want to look into it HERE. Amazon and Scholastic bought the exclusive rights. Everything she touches seems to turn into gold. Good for her, she does good things with it.

Thanks for the + and thanks for the orders! These books are going to be "flying like a broom" off the shelves way before the release date..I guess that means they won't even be touching the shelves! Straight off the press and into the hands of those who ordered early enough! Her books are an amazing phenomenon that is popular all over the globe. She also does so much good with her rewards, too.
