The U.S. Elections | Florida Primary Casualties
posted January 31, 2008 - 6:08amThe Florida primaries have produced two casualties – Rudy Giuliani and John Edwards.
Former Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani, of the Republicans, has finally decided that his chances are minimal and has quit the race. John McCain is the likely beneficiary, if as predicted, Giuliani will give him his support.
In the Democrats' ranks John Edwards also achieved a poor result in the Florida Primary so he did the only honourable thing , that is to quit. It's now all-out warfare between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Sen. Edward Kennedy's endorsement will help him, as it's a clear and influential signal to many voters who are still wavering.
