'Rog' by Falak

Anita Saleem: As the song began, I found myself highly captivated by the musical instruments that were being used. As soon as the music video ended I found myself penning down my opinion. I just couldn't resist writing my views on this one. Let me start with the song first: It is a treat for the ears - the kind of song that I would love to hear again and again. Despite the fact that I'm not a fan of Punjabi songs, this one just got me swinging. Coming to the video, it was absolute junk! Three girls dancing around the main vocalist (who is apparently reporting distress about the deadly 'rog' of love) was something way too ridiculous for me to digest. Obviously, the music director tried to cash in on the ladies' presence by first making them wear skimpy outfits and then making them do weird dance movements. It was disgusting and spoiled the entire feel of the otherwise lovely song. The song was fabulous and certainly deserved a better video. I just wish that Falak had made a better video. It's so agonizing to see such a wonderful song being put to waste just because of its video. If this song does not get the appreciation it deserves, I would be among the first ones to lament. As for the video I'll just say that if you haven't experienced the torment of watching a silly video, here's a promising one for you!
