The Weight Loss Secret
posted July 12, 2007 - 6:50pm I am going to disclose to you a weight loss secret. If you follow it, your excess weight will shed as if by magic. The thin you that you knew was there will naturally emerge. And an improved lifestyle based on wellness will blossom all on its own.
What I am about to tell you is the way I lost 30 pounds and have kept it off for 5 years now. How much you lose depends on how much excess you are carrying around.
Two things are necessary in order for what I am about to tell you to work:
1. You must know and believe that you are a thinner person than what your scale shows.
2. To quote Martin Luther King, “You must take the first step in faith.”
This is what is required for you to have success. If you can do these two things you can already consider yourself a thinner person. Whatever you have tried in the past, and no matter what way you have been self-defeated in previous attempts, be not discouraged! There is merely one step in this plan and if you follow it you cannot go wrong. It is the first step that you start with and you let the rest blossom in its own natural way.
The weight loss secret is:
Eat half of what you would normally eat at any given time. Eat when you are hungry. Do not let yourself get too hungry. Do not change a single thing you are eating. When you wake up tomorrow eat half the amount you would normally eat for breakfast. If you eat a bagel, eat half a bagel and take the other half with you. If you eat two eggs, eat one. If for lunch you eat a sandwich, eat half a sandwich. After you have eaten exactly half of what you would normally eat you must wait at least half an hour to determine if you are full or not. At first you will think you are not full. But this is the trick your body plays on you. Half an hour passes and you are in fact satiated. If not, you eat the other half of your food. You eat that next half of your food the next time you feel hungry. This may be in as little as two hours after you have eaten. That is fine. If it has been at least half an hour, and your body tells you it is hungry then you listen to it and you eat. But you can only eat either the other half of what you started or a half portion of what you would have otherwise eaten.
Do this for every meal, for every snack, for every hunger pain through out the day. Do not bother yourself with trying to change what you eat at first. It doesn’t matter if it is half a cheeseburger and half an order of french fries. If it is half then you have followed your rule and you are on the path to success.
Do not weigh yourself until you have successfully completed one week. At that point you may get on the scale and continue to do so as you see fit. You will start immediately seeing results. You will feel satiated and you will be eating more frequently throughout the day. You should be eating more frequently throughout the day. And you should not be concerning yourself with what it is you are eating. Erase the old diets and gimmicks out of your mind.
Within a month or two you will be seeing a considerable difference and you will notice your hunger changing. You may start cutting your half portions in half. If this feels right then do it! And as soon as you get hungry feed yourself the other quarter or half portion. I found it was easiest to eat a half or quarter portion and then take the rest with me. So the other portion was readily available if I got hungry.
As time goes on and you continue your habit, your engery will increase. You nay feel compelled to go the gym or take up some new physical actvity. You may start craving new foods. See where your body takes you! It is an adventure wherein you discover what is right for your body and your mind. Like I said, You need only take that first step in faith. Cut the portions in half, trusting that you will see results. Continue without fail and let your body tell you where it wants to go. Enjoy the thinner you!
