Well, well, well, it's finally over. The democratic nominating
process has ended and we have a nominee. His name is Barack Obama. Senator Hillary Clinton gave her endorsement and suspension of her campaign speech, all at one time on Saturday, before a cheering crowd, of about ten thousand supporters. It was a gracious speech, in which she threw her whole hearted support, as best she could, behind the presumptive nominee, Senator Barack Obama. She joined with him in saying "yes we can". It was a very good speech, one of, if not the best speech of her campaign, in my opinion.
Quite a lot of her supporters and others were calling on Senator Obama to choose Senator Clinton as his Vice President, but it appears Senator Obama is not going to do that, not now anyway.
According to the latest polls, he does not appear to need her, Nationally he leads Senator McCain by 6%, with White women, 52%-33%, Hispanics, 62%-28%, Blue Collar workers
47%-42%, Catholics, 47%-40%, Independents, 41%-36%. Seems he does well on his own against Senator McCain. Polls will change, but when women fully understand that Senator McCain has a very poor record on women health issues, this may be a no brainer election. We'll see. Nationally, opinion polls show, people think that Obama will win in November, over McCain 54%-30%, mostly because the country wants change, and that Americans by 69% think the country is in a declining state, and that it is.
