The Wire Final Episode aired today.

It was a great show--not the final episode--the show on the whole. I got into The Wire very late. This is the season I started watching.

It really got me hooked though--if you haven't seen the show, you should check it out. It's great. If you like drama, cop, and political shows, then The Wire is right up your alley.

The show takes (or took) place in the city of Baltimore and chronicles how politics, drugs, money, power, and the media effect the daily lives of various Baltimore citizens.

It's a shame that it's over, but The Wire had to end just like other great tv fare like The Sopranos. The ending was not as startling as the finale to the Sopranos, in fact, it's rather predictable.

I'm watching the show in reverse--I'm going back to season one.
